Enhanced aluminum alloy-polymer friction stir welding joints by introducing micro-textures

چکیده

In this work, a micro-texture through laser ablation pre-treatment on aluminum alloy surface was designed, which successfully induced high bonding strength of alloy-polymer friction stir welding joints. The mechanism attributed to the large mechanical interlocking from geometric grooves in micro-textures and formation C–O–Al bond at interfaces. This study provides new insight metal polymer controllable pre-treatments.
